Founded in 2005, Rouge28 Theatre is a company of international theatre artists based in London. We fuse puppetry with different performance genres to produce original and intriguing visual theatre. Our work has been performed nationally and internationally.

Urashima Taro is the latest project developed by the company. We are currently touring the piece across England. Next destinations include Bridport Arts Centre, the World Festival of Puppet Theatres in Charleville-Mezieres (France), and Skipton International Puppet Festival.

Urashima Taro has been selected to be part of Decibel Performing Arts Showcase organised by Arts Council England. This event will take place in Manchester between the 14th and 16th of September.

In the past, Rouge28 has produced The Story of the Panda Bears (2005) by Matei Visniec, Heartsnatcher (2005) , Madame (2006), and Postalgia (2007-08). Recently, Rouge28 has undertaken a research project on The Maids by Jean Genet.
