Welcome
Rouge28 Theatre is a platform that enables artists to create new pieces that challenge puppetry. We combine puppetry with other performing art forms such as dance, mask, acting or storytelling.
We want to create a vibrant community of artists in London that are engaging a dialogue between new forms of puppetry and performing arts.
We are currently developing three projects: Postalgia, Seaside and Urashima Taro. These projects reflect the individual research and work of each group of artists involved. Paul Piris, the artistic director of Rouge28 Theatre, insures the artistic coherence and vision of the different works produced by the platform.
The company’s work is regularly performed at Shunt Lounge since November 2006.
Since October 2007, Rouge28 Theatre is in Residency at the Puppet Centre Trust.
